House

We've been talking and trying to plan for buying a house for the last couple years. We've planned on buying the one we are currently renting and even started having house plans drawn up for an addition. For some reason, every time we would try to proceed with things on the house we are in, it just wasn't right. We've thought it was a timing thing, but after 2 years, the time still wasn't right. Several months ago I began looking at other houses to see if there were options that would work better for us. I found a couple that I felt good about, but couldn't seem to move things forward on. Well, last week the price dropped drastically on this HUD home and we submitted a bid and got it! Its a bit of a surprise because we didn't feel like we were close to moving-we thought something might happen next year, just not at the beginning of it! Well, it needs a little TLC on the inside before we can move in, and of course we have to close on it first-so we'll move the latter part of February. That was certainly a Christmas present that was unexpected. We all have our apprehensions about moving, but know that it is the right thing for our family.

I'm a Little Slow on some posts

Halloween was pretty fun this year. We had been watching the old series, "Young Riders" as a family and then we found hats and guns at the dollar store. The boys were thrilled to be Young Riders for Halloween-even Keifer.

Sleeping

We have several pictures of the kids sleeping. I think we must take them because they look so sweet and innocent when they are sleeping.

I laughed when I was loading pictures on the computer and found this one of Keith.

The boys decided one morning that they needed a picture of Dad sleeping. Keith said he hopped back in bed for them so they could take the picture.

What are you doing?

This is a conversation I had with Joe recently:
Joe: What are you doing?
Me: Making rolls.
Joe: Why?
Me: For dinner.
Joe: NO DON'T! We can have Cereal and it will be Just Fine!
He had a similar face as in the picture when he was telling me this. I made the rolls anyway and Joe was just fine.

Happy Birthday Keifer!

We celebrated Keith B. Caldwell, IV's birthday a couple weeks ago. What a milestone---1 year old! I have to admit, it seems to go faster with each kid. He must be the baby, though. He's my first to not be walking at this age, he only has 2 teeth that he just recently had grow in, and we are all perfectly okay with him being the baby. I'm not sure I'm ready for the climbing and jumping that is in the near future. I decided not to make a video for Keifer until he's a little older (the boys were quite disappointed). So, I will just post a few pictures. The boys have enjoyed their new little friend and we've enjoyed the sweet and silly boy that he is. We don't even mind the confusion that comes with having a 4th Keith in the family most of the time. I can't think of a name that would fit him any better than the one he has. He sure came by it rightfully. We love this little guy!

Umpah, Loompa, umpah-dee-doo. Have I got a story for you.

One night Matt got ready for bed, and I had to take these pictures because he looked like an Umpah Loompa to me.

Can I say, future blackmail footage? Oh yeah!

New (Old) Computer!

I'm back! I can post things again. We found a computer that was newer than our old one for not much more than the part to fix the old one. So, we're up and running again. I felt lost without all my files and fast running machine, but not anymore! I'd post a picture, but it looks exactly like the old one (I can't tell the difference).

Urghh!!!!!

On Sunday morning I heard a breaker flip and some lights went out. No big deal until I found the computer was dead. Of course, there are other computers to use and that is why I can post....however there are no pictures because they are on the computer that won't turn on.

It will take a day or two to figure out the best way to fix our problem. A new computer would be nice and has been on the list for a couple years now, but you know how it is--kids (that explains most of it), and other priorities have put it on the back burner. The biggest thing is that I'M NOT READY for the computer to die.

In the meantime I'm finding how frustrating it is not to have access to all my files, contacts, and such. So, again, I will say URGHHH!!!!!!!!

Now that I have vented, maybe I can be patient until this problem is fixed and I can get back to normal function.

Missed Vacation

Everyone got the flu during our scheduled vacation for the year. We'd planned to go camping with my family during the muzzle load hunt. I was really bummed when it all fell apart on us because I'd been looking forward to the break for some time. I guess we need to schedule our vacations during a different time of year. Anyway, instead of going and getting everyone sick, we stayed home but managed to make it to the mountain to see the salmon run and a picnic. We also decided to drive through Sheep Creek Canyon, which is a fun little canyon. We stopped to take some pictures. I could tell we were rusty, its been a while since we've been able to get out and take some pictures, but it was fun anyway.

Silly Boy

The boys took these pictures of Keifer pulling funny faces and I thought they were too funny not to post. He's quite the little boy, and obviously loved by his brothers.
