Baby Blessing
We were able to bless Kiefer at the beginning of this month--so its official--Keith Birch Caldwell, IV. It was a special day and we were happy to have family attend. We always enjoy seeing and spending time with family. We appreciate the time they each took to be with us.
My boys (including Keith), Keith's Dad and Grandpa Caldwell, and Grandpa Johnson
Four Keith Caldwell's. It took having 4 boys to get a Keith IV, and Grandpa Caldwell says I can have a girl now. We feel blessed to have a 4th Keith and are glad that we can have a picture of them together.
A Project That Took Years To Create
oops-I'm not sure how to fix the picture.
The freezer has been collecting frost for...literally years. I have been meaning to defrost the freezer for years, too. I meant to do it last winter and take advantage of the natural freezer outside, but if I recall, morning sickness began to delay a lot of projects about the same time, too.
I was happy to discover I only lost 1 Otter Pop and 1 roast in the icy tundra. Now I'm enjoying the clean, defrosted freezer and the space I forgot I had.
My Seven
7 Things I can do
1. I can visit with a friend or family member all day long (that's why I never call anyone).
2. I can lift my legs to get into the truck (post-pregnancy joy).
3. I can put the maternity clothes away (post-pregnancy joy).
4. I can hug my sweetheart without anyone coming in between us (another post-pregnancy joy).
5. I can play Lego Star Wars with my kids.
6. I can tolerate wrestling, playing guns and cars, lightsabers swinging, balls bouncing and flying around my house all day.
7. I can tell when my children cry if it requires me to run and see if everything is all right, or if they'll be just fine.
7 Things I can't do
1. Come up with 7 things I can do
2. Get up in time to make a good breakfast for the kids before school. Thank goodness for frozen breakfasts and instant oatmeal.
3. Sit and hold my baby all day long--too many other kids to chase.
4. I can't go anywhere once nap time begins.
5. I can't fit in the pants I wore before I was pregnant.
6. I can't go anywhere without car seats and a diaper bag.
7. I can't seem to accomplish anything that requires leaving the house.
7 Things that attracted me to my husband
1. His red hair. (Which isn't really red anymore, but I still like)
2. For some reason, I couldn't stop talking to him.
3. He always called me on my feelings--especially when I was trying to be evasive.
4. He let me be myself and never once tried to change me, and loved me anyway.
5. He wrote me letters.
6. I had a thing for skaters and the true geek that he is.
7. He asked me to blow off a football game to go roller-blading (I really don't like football).
7 Things I always say
1. Oh, really?
2. Josh, Matt, Joe!
3. When we learn to obey, we'll be happy all day. Are you happy?
4. Its nap time.
5. Matt, you need a treatment!
6. I've told you 3 times already!
7. Love ya!
7 Things I love to eat
1. Ice cream
2. New York cheese cake
3. Home-made goodies (cinnamon rolls, bread, cookies, etc.)
4. Fresh vegetables (particularly from the garden)
5. CANDY!
6. Fruit
7. Raspberries and cream, or peaches and cream
New Background
I just need to say that I love so many of the blog backgrounds out there. I hate trying to decide which one to use. I really like the pretty pink and feminine backgrounds, but every time I try them out I realize I have too many boys to get away with it. So, I will continue to try to find backgrounds that fit me...and the boys.
